This historic structure is undergoing and entire façade
renovation. The main part of
the scope is to replicate this historic parapet pediment by using
today’s technology.
This severely damaged structure is made of pre-cast
concrete. We visited the side
armed with every measuring device made for historic replication.
These drawings are what the restoration company is going to use as
a guide to rebuild this important architectural element.
Each piece will be rebuilt out of foam using computerized laser
beams for accuracy in measurement...
This project is currently underway.

This
historic home, in its vastly wooded, shaded environment is prone to ice
damming. The existing roof
shingles were at their 15-20 year limit and the copper gutter liner was
too old to repair.
To
keep the integrity of their historic setting, Architectural shingles,
replicating hand cut shaker shingles were used.
New copper gutter liners were measured and historically replicated.
As an accent to the old beauty, copper drip edge was installed to punctuate the high-pitched eaves , long lost in today’s construction.
I
would like to thank the Crew of Joe Squillante, Inc for their professional
attitudes and installation throughout the process.
The clients were pleased with the cleanliness of the site upon
completion and lack of a punch list.
In
addition to design and restoration services, project management services
were provided.
